Putnam Valley
is still very rustic and its bucolic beauty tends to make you forget how close you are to urban and surburban life.  Three Arrows provides a good natural environment typical of the lower Hudson Highlands.  Members cooperate to keep the woods clean and invasive species under control.  Additional resources include:

Caution!      

Our woods are "lovely, dark and deep" particularly if you are aware of what is in them.  Pay attention to poison ivy, which is all around, and deer ticks.  The links below provide more information in depth:
